ACC 2017 Predictions

Toe Meets Leather Podcast returns with our early predictions for outcomes in the ACC conference. There are alot of upcoming changes, especially at the quarterback position, for teams in the ACC this year. Last year's national champion Clemson will look to return to form, but have a tough road ahead of them against a FSU team filled to the brim with talent and a Heisman champion at Louisville. In the coastal things are as chaotic as they've ever been. Miami and Virigina Tech will look to control the division, but Pitt and GT may have a say in the matter. Coming off hot weeks Andrew and Tommy make some bold picks, and Logan is here too. Army has a big game at home with hopes for a commander and chief game against Navy at the end of the year if they can beat Air Force at home in West Point. can Kentucky's hopes of winning the east stay alive this week? probably not, but that won't stop us from picking against Georgia. Nebraska, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Ohio State are all looking to have big games this week to keep their dream of battling in the Big 10 championship alive. Finally Alabama stares down a rejuvenated LSU team on the road. Will LSU succeed in pulling a historic upset, or will the Tide Roll. Tune in to hear our thoughts.

Sadly there is not a lot of big games in terms of playoff positioning this week, but there will still be some fun match ups.

Arkansas has to beat Auburn, because I refuse to believe that Auburn is a talented team. Wisconsin gets another game where it must prove itself, this time against a struggling Iowa. Boise and Western Michigan look to remain undefeated. Louisville tries to avoid another potential upset, this week facing down NC State. Finally... Is Logan seriously picking Texas A&M to win against Bama?

In all seriousness we talk about the chaos that is the ACC right now, and every year really. Is it parity or is it something else that leads to all these potential upsets year in and year out. And if the ACC Coastal were in another conference would people feel differently about how the teams perform.

Wisconsin continues to fall just short in attempts to prove itself. It gets another big game this upcoming week against Iowa and the Badgers will need to win every game they play to win the Big 10 West.

And yes, we talk about the powerhouse that is Bama. Why are they so good? Can they be stopped? how would our casters gameplan against facing the unstoppable juggernaut that is the Crimson Tide?

This week we highlight the Bama @ UT matchup that rolls around every 3rd Saturday in October, But there are plenty of other big time games this weekend. Ohio State looks to avoid a potential upset on the road against the defensively stout Wisconsin Badgers. UNC and Miami are both looking to bounce back and prove themselves in their face-off.
